At the 2019 SEMA Show Chevrolet teamed up with Carhartt to design a Special Edition collaboration for the 2021 model year. "Over the last century, both Carhartt and Chevrolet have earned a reputation for building long lasting products that stand the test of time, this truck represents a true collaboration of our brands coming together to create a durable, purpose-built truck for people who not only work hard on the job site but also live a rugged lifestyle." says Janet Ries, Vice president of marketing at Carhartt.
These two brands have collaborated prior to this year debuting a concept for a collaboration at the 2016 SEMA Show. After receiving lots of response from the first concept they knew this would be a good collaboration.
The Carhartt Special Edition Chevy Silverado is based on the 2500 LTZ Z71 crew cab truck, in addition to the standard Z71 options this truck is offered exclusively in Mosaic Black Metallic with a Carhartt gold pinstripe, Carhartt badges on the doors and tailgate, embossed headrests all terrain tires, and a soft tonneau cover. The Z71 badge is also blacked out, unlike any other Current Silverado on sale today.
